Mahama’s “Do-Or-Die” Statement Arrest Warrant Request A Waste Of Time – Felix Kwakye Ofosu

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, a top advisor in the Mahama administration, has rejected the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) demands to have the former president detained over his “do or die” remark.

Mr. Kwakye Ofosu says that the police should not comply since it is a waste of their time.

On Joy FM’s Top Story on Wednesday he said, “The truth is that that petition that has been sent by the NPP is a piece of drivel that must be cast into the nearest dustbin. I’m sure that the Ghana Police Service has better use for their time than chasing such ridiculous endeavors.”

The advisor went on to say that Henry Nana Boakye’s call was evidence that the ruling NPP party was misplacing its priorities.

He insisted that our focus should be diverted to other equally pressing matters.

Mr. Ofosu argued that “They clearly are not serious and focused on the important things that matter to the people of this country. For a party that in government has supervised the kind of economic mess and rotten the key that has plunged Ghanaians into this sort of suffering, you would think that they will spend all their time to find solutions to the problem and will not waste precious time on such irrelevant matter. When it comes, it will portray the Ghana police service as an organization that is not serious.”

And so, he asserted, the NPP’s hoped-for police invitation call will never come.

John Dramani Mahama stated during his ‘Thank you tour’ in 2021 that the NDC learned from the 2020 elections that they were won at the polling station.

So, he declared that the NDC’s performance in the 2024 elections is a “do-or-die” situation, as the party will be extremely watchful at the polls.

“We were clearly robbed but we accepted the verdict for the sake of peace, but I want to state here that the next elections would be won or lost at the polling station. So at the polling station, it will be do or die. I am not saying all die be die. I’m saying it will be do or die because the right thing must be done,” Mr Mahama said

However, the NPP submitted a petition to the Criminal Investigative Department (CID) on Wednesday, April 12, in which Mr. Boakye called the former president’s remarks “treasonous.”

This is why the NPP is demanding that John Mahama be arrested, investigated, and prosecuted for his “do-or-die” remark.

Felix Ofosu Kwakye’s Biography

Felix Kwakye Ofosu is a Ghanaian politician and former Deputy Information Minister under the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the John Dramani Mahama Administration and currently the aspiring MP for Abura Asebu Kwamankese.

In June of 2018, a member of the Electoral Commission of Ghana’s staff claimed that he had paid money to the agency in order to sway the 2016 general elections; he strongly denied this allegation.

The commission’s top executives were previously removed from their positions after an investigation found that they had broken Ghanaian procurement laws while preparing for the 2016 elections.
