NPP Primaries: Bawumia Raps Delegates In Bono Region

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the vice president, is actively campaigning to become the presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Speaking to over 1,300 delegates in the Sunyani East Constituency, Dr. Bawumia vowed to challenge Mr. Mahama with the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) impressive record of accomplishment and his own innovative vision for the party.

According to a report by dailyguidenetwork, he has made an appeal to delegates for their support in the forthcoming 2024 general elections, where he will be running against John Dramani Mahama, the presidential candidate representing the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Dr. Bawumia spoke about the many projects he carried out as Vice President of Ghana, including the country’s success in digitalization, the “1 Constituency-1 Ambulance” policy, the Agenda 111 hospital projects, the Gold for Oil policy, and the drone delivery project.

He dared Mr. Mahama to show what he had accomplished or left behind in his 30 years in politics, from Assemblyman to President. Dr. Bawumia urged party members to remain united during the campaign by not attacking one another. He said the internal elections should not be treated as a competition and that everyone should act in a way that is consistent with the party’s values.
