Miss World 2024: Krystyna Pyszková of Czech Republic Wins 71st Miss World

Krystyna Pyszková from the Czech Republic emerged as the winner of the Miss World pageant, which took place in India on Saturday evening.

Among the 112 participants in the competition held in Mumbai, India’s vibrant hub of finance and entertainment, Yasmina Zaytoun from Lebanon secured the position of first runner-up.

“Being crowned Miss World is a dream come true. I am deeply honored to represent my country and the values of ‘beauty with a purpose’ on a global platform,” Pyszkova said.

Following the handover of the crown from Poland’s reigning Miss World, Karoline Bielawska, to Pyszková, the newly crowned Miss World, she graciously acknowledged the enthusiastic crowd at the Jio World Convention Center and shared warm embraces with her fellow contestants.

The event served as a magnificent platform to showcase the diverse tapestry of India’s culture, traditions, heritage, arts and crafts, and textiles to a global audience of immense proportions. Adorned in intricately embroidered skirts and blouses, the participants mesmerized the spectators with their graceful dance performances to popular Bollywood songs.

After a hiatus of 28 years, the beauty competition made a triumphant return to India, captivating the hearts of millions. Notably, six Indian women have previously claimed the prestigious title, including Reita Faria (1966), Aishwarya Rai (1994), Diana Hayden (1997), Yukta Mookhey (1999), Priyanka Chopra (2000), and Manushi Chillar (2017).
