Nashville Police Release Bodycam Footage Of Cops Putting Down Audrey Hale Following Shootout

The Metro Nashville Police Department released bodycam footage depicting the moment when officers entered the Nashville Covenant School and executed Audrey Hale on Tuesday morning.

The video show the shootout from Officer Rex Engelbert and Officer Micheal Collazo’s body cams concurrently.

As previously reported, the 28-year-old entered the elementary school with two assault rifles and a pistol on Monday morning before opening fire on three students and three faculty members. The standoff between police and Hale did not appear to be an easy one, as the former graphic designer is heard firing continually as officers command her to down her firearm.

After a 14-minute attack, cops shot and killed Hale at 10:27 a.m. John Drake, the head of the police, claimed that they discovered a document that contained a plan, along with diagrams of the school which included information on the available entry and exit points and surveillance methods.

The victims were children Evelyn Dieckhaus, Hallie Scruggs and William Kinney, all age 9. The adults were Cynthia Peak, 61, Katherine Koonce, 60, and Mike Hill, 61.

The police chief told the media that the suspect was prepared to engage in combat with policemen. Drake told NBC News that the school shooter likely had larger plans than simply the school, as the shooter’s manifesto indicated that he intended to carry out shootings at many locations, including the school..

Hollywood Unlocked reports that Norma Fort Hale, the mother of the shooter, is an employee of The Village Chapel, a house of worship located in Nashville. Previously, she had shared her opinion on social media platforms following school shooting incidents and had advocated for more stringent gun regulation.

She publicized the Sandy Hook Promise petition on Facebook, asserting its significance and encouraging people to “keep guns out of schools,” as reported by the Independent.

The woman spoke to an ABC News reporter, asking for privacy. She stated, “It’s really hard at the moment. I can’t say anything else. I’m afraid I might have lost my daughter today.”
