Physically Disabled Society Reacts To Shatta Wale’s Apology After Attack On Stonebwoy

The Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) has officially received the apology from Shhatta Wale, which was issued by his management team led by Sammy Flex.

GSPD expresses their gratitude to Wale and his team for their dedication to promoting inclusivity, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to establish a more inclusive environment for everyone, irrespective of disabilities.

In their letter, GSPD extends their appreciation to all individuals within the disability community for their patience, as well as acknowledging the support from various stakeholders.

Additionally, they took the opportunity to remind Ghanaians to remain mindful of the fact that disability can affect anyone at any given time.

The Ghana Society of the Physically Disabled (GSPD) acknowledges receipt of an apology from Shatta Movement Empire on April 18, 2024.

The apology stated amongst other things that “We understand that the wording of the statement may have been insensitive and we acknowledge the concerns raised. It was not our intention to cause harm, and we value and respect the contributions and rights of individuals with disability in our society”.

They further stated “We are committed to promoting inclusivity and understanding, and we will strive to be more mindful of our words and actions in the future”.

We accept the apology and appreciate their commitment to promoting inclusivity as there is the need for all of us to work together and create a more inclusive environment for all, regardless of disabilities.

We will also like to use this opportunity to thank all members of the disability community for their patience and all stakeholders for their support. Let us be mindful of the reality that disability can be anyone’s lot anytime. Thank you.
