President Akufo-Addo To Deliver State of the Nation Address on February 27

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is set to deliver the State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament on Tuesday, February 27.

The announcement was made by the Majority Leader and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, as Parliament reconvened on Tuesday, February 6.

This annual address is mandated by Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, which requires the President to deliver a message on the State of the Nation to Parliament at the beginning of each session and before the dissolution of Parliament.

During the address, President Akufo-Addo is expected to outline the government’s key policy objectives for the year ahead and provide updates on the current economic situation.

The SONA typically covers a wide range of topics, including education, security, health, agriculture, and other important aspects of the economy.
