In an exclusive interview with Tru News Report, Mr Yaw Ofosu Ofori, the father of Afua Asantewaa, shared insights into his daughter’s humble beginnings and her journey towards making history in connection with the Guinness World Record attempt for the longest individual singing marathon.

According to Mr Ofosu, despite his initial desire for her to become a nurse, Afua Asantewaa boldly forged her path. He recalled a moment when he discovered that she had written, with a black pen, her aspirations of becoming a public figure in the future, which she carefully placed inside a Bible.

Upon witnessing this, he decided to support her career choice wholeheartedly. Recognizing her passion, he enrolled her at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) to pursue her dream of becoming a prominent figure in the country.

As she now strives to break the record for the longest singing marathon by an individual, it comes as no surprise to Mr. Yaw that she has become the center of attention.
