Rent Is Killing Ghanaians—John Dumelo Laments

John Dumelo has expressed his thoughts on the rent system in Ghana through a tweet on Twitter.

The renowned actor and father of two highlighted the unfortunate reality that many individuals in the country are trapped in a cycle of poverty due to a significant portion of their income being allocated towards rent payments.

Adding to the burden, landlords often require a substantial two- to three-year rent advance, further exacerbating the financial strain on most Ghanaians.

John Dumelo’s concern stems from the detrimental impact that the current rent system has on the people of Ghana, particularly due to the excessive advance payments demanded by landlords.

In a post shared via X, John Dumelo said, “2-3 years Rent advance is “killing” a lot of Ghanaians….. #rentinGhana“.

John Dumelo recently achieved yet another milestone by completing his Masters in Law from the prestigious University of Ghana.

In a delightful announcement on his social media platforms, John Dumelo proudly shared a captivating photograph of himself donning his academic gown, symbolizing his remarkable accomplishment.

”I graduated with a Masters Degree in Law (Natural Resources) from the University of Ghana Law School today. To God be the glory,” he captioned the photo.
