Stonebwoy Claims He is The One Who Sold Afro-Dancehall Music To The World

Stonebwoy has claimed that he’s actually the first artist who propagated the genre, Afro-Dancehall music to the rest of the world.
He made the bold claim during a recent interview with AJ Sarpong on Accra-based Citi FM.
In expatiating his claim, the honcho of one of the biggest fanbases in Ghana said before other artists joined the bandwagon, he had performed with renowned entertainers such as Shaggy, Bounty Killer, Richard Stevens, and Alpha Blondy where he introduced the new genre to the world on the same stage he shared with the aforementioned artists.
Stonebwoy was heard in the interview saying: “I have been on the same stage with Shaggy, I have done Bounty Killer, Richard Stevens, Alpha Blondy, etc. I am doing a lot to project Afro-dancehall…realistically I am the one who sold afro-dancehall to the World. Oh, yes, I am the one.”
Shifting the attention on his upcoming Bhim Concert slated for Friday, December 23, 2022, Stonebwoy revealed: ” God willing, that would be amazing. It takes an arm and a leg to stage such a concert there, but everything is possible. Actually, I am performing in Jamaica next month so gradually I will get there.”
Stonebwoy’s real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla. He is a Ghanaian Afropop, dancehall and reggae musician.
He is the CEO of Burniton Music Group. He won the Best International Act: Africa category at the 2015 BET Awards and Artist of the Year at the 2015 Ghana Music Awards.
