“The Video I Saw And Shared Had Been Tempered With, I Sincerely Apologise” – Presidential Staffer To Asiedu Nketia

Dennis Miracles Aboagye, director of local government services in the office of the President, has publicly apologised to Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, national chairman of the NDC, over a video that Aboagye posted about him.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporter apologised on Twitter for mistakenly sharing a video apparently showing the NDC Chairman urging his members to lay down their lives in preparation for the 2024 elections.

However, Miracles Aboagye has retracted his remarks and publicly apologised to the NDC chairman. He wrote in a tweet post:

“I sincerely apologise and have subsequently removed the Asiedu Nketia video I shared earlier. My attention has been drawn to an original video, which clearly shows the earlier one I viewed and shared was doctored. Obviously, this version I saw and shared had been tempered with, which isn’t right. I withdraw accordingly with apologies.”

Dennis posted a video of Chairman of the National Democratic Congress Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, in which the politician was misquoted as saying, “Sacrifice everything, including lives,” but what he actually meant was, “Sacrifice everything, including our lives,” for their campaign.

The video was posted by the NPP member in response to comments made by Bryan Acheampong, MP for Abetifi, in which he stated that the NPP will never hand over power to the NDC.

Several members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) have come out in support of Bryan Acheampong in light of his comments, arguing that his words were merely a response to similarly aggressive ones from the NDC party.

In response to Bryan Acheampong’s statements, other members of the NDC have stated that they, too, are prepared to match any violence the NPP intends to bring in the run-up to the general elections in 2024.
