Tory Lanez Hires Jose Baez And David Kenner As Attorneys To Lead His Appeal Process
TMZ reports the rapper has recently hired Jose Baez and David Kenner as his attorneys, to work with Matthew Barhoma.
His entourage is turning out to be extremely formidable. Obviously, Baez has represented several noteworthy clients, including Anthony and Aaron Hernandez. Baez was in the process of appealing his conviction for the murder of Odin Lloyd when Aaron Hernandez committed suicide.
Prior to his death, Baez successfully acquitted Aaron in a different double murder case for which he had been indicted. He has represented countless other celebrities over the years.
David Kenner, in the 1990s, defended Suge Knight in a robbery case, which resulted in probation for Suge. Kenner appears to have also represented Suge in his most recent manslaughter case, appearing in court with him while he fought these allegations.
In the same time period, Kenner also successfully represented Snoop Dogg, helping him win a murder case.
As for the most recent developments in Tory’s case, Kenner requested a judge last week to delay Tory’s sentence so that he may review trial transcripts and prepare a strong appeal. The judge approved the motion, and the sentencing date has been set for February 28.
During the trial, Tory dismissed the other lawyers who were working for him. After being convicted for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, he faces 22 years in jail (and maybe deportation).
