Why I Went Into Hiding For A While- Michy Shares
Michy GH, formerly called Shatta Michy, has revealed why she momentarily went on a hiatus.
In an interview on 3FM, the former girlfriend of dancehall artiste Shatta Wale said she needed to get in tune emotionally, financially and spiritually before maneuvering her way back to the mainstream. Beyond that, she spoke about her relationship with God and how she views religiosity juxtaposed with spirituality in her life.
“Let’s say, settle down; get my life back on track. I needed to be stable; mentally, physically, and spiritually. I think I’m sorted,” she said.
“We’ve got to be aware that we are spiritual beings. We are probably spirits walking out here because we’ve got to tap into the Godly side and then, you’ll know that we are capable of anything and everything because we are supernatural beings,” she added.
“I’m spiritual. I won’t call it religious. I don’t like to go through a messenger to God. So far, even the smallest prayers, even when you don’t pray, you think about it and it happens. I’ll be driving and then I’ll look in the sky and go like, ‘That was you!’. Probably, that prayer didn’t even end with an ‘Amen’, then the thing happens, I know that it was you (God),” she shared.
She continued, “I’ve had too many instances like that. I need to take my God seriously.”
On going off the radar and deciding to make the comeback now, Michy GH said:
“Sometimes, you need to take a moment and hear the still voice, what the white man calls ‘intuition’. Being quiet was to be in touch with myself and that small voice that’s supposed to be directing us in life,” she expressed solemnly.
The last time Michy was in the news, she said her next boyfriend must really be rich and we are wondering if it’s a shade at her former boyfriend Shatta Wale.
The socialite and actress spoke to Kwaku Manu in an interview saying five years after her breakup with the SM boss, she is ready to find love again. However, she specified that the man must be rich because she is not prepared to walk on the same path again.
“I’m open to anyone who is wealthy, mature, and of sound mind.” Being wealthy is a need. I’ve learned my lessons by going through pain with a man. “I’m not going to tow that lane again,” she said.
On the same platform, Michy also recalled an awkward moment she had at a restaurant when a man took her out on a date.
According to her, the waiter could not contain his excitement when he sighted her and proclaimed spontaneously, ‘Paah Paah Paah’, which is the slogan of Shatta Wale, her former boyfriend.
In furtherance, Michy underscored the degree to which fans still link her with Shatta Wale despite breaking up with him years ago.
As for the name “Shatta Michy,” I think it has come to be stay. There is nothing I can do about it. I have tried, but people still call me by that name, so I have left it as it is. “We have broken up, but it seems I’m still the original Shatta Michy,” she concluded.
