Wizkid Is The Michael Jackson Of Africa – Irene Agbontaen

Irene Agbontaen, a British fashion designer and the creator of TTYA London, has claimed Wizkid’s big influence within the scope of his genre can be likened to the King of Pop Michael Jackson.

She stated this in an interview for the I Said What I Said show when speaking about her first encounter with Wizkid.

The stylist disclosed that he had just finished performing alongside British rapper Skepta at a party a friend had held in Lagos when the Afrobeat star asked her and her friends to join him.

Speaking further, Irene said they were about to leave when Wizkid reportedly told them that he has a suite at the Eko hotel and that they should remain with him.

They agreed to spend New Year’s Eve together at his house, and she claimed that when he brought them out, she got to personally witness the Wiz effect.

Probably based on the aura and air of professionalism that shroud the Nigerian artiste, Irene has no doubt that Big Wiz can be referred to as the Michael Jackson of Africa.

Here’s what she said.
