Yvonne Nelson Used Sarkodie To Market Her Book – Arnold Baidoo

Entertainment critic, Arnold Asamoah Baidoo has stated that actress Yvonne Nelson deliberately decided to market her new book “I am not Yvonne Nelson” by using rapper Sarkodie.

Speaking on United Showbiz, the entertainment pundit claimed that the actress’ clever technique of telling her story was a well-planned effort to spark controversy.

“If you want your memoir to be a topic for conversation, it has to be exclusive; there should be an element of surprise, it should be explosive. Many successful authors with memoirs had an element of explosive shocks that triggered conversations… Yvonne was strategic with the content in the book, and Sarkodie’s spill was the focal marketing point of the book, it was an intentional thought to create an uproar amongst readers.”

“Sarkodie is a big export, riding on his clout was not a digression but a thought-out curve to sell… We need to applaud Yvonne for her boldness. Just in a couple of days, her book has been a best seller on Amazon and Apple Books… Yvonne told her story, but ultimately her goal was to sell, this is a revenue-generating point in the industry,” he stated.

Arnold’s statement comes after famous Ghanaian actress, film producer, entrepreneur, and activist, Yvonne Nelson, published a memoir titled “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” in which she details the events of her life. A lot of people have been talking about the book since it came out because of the scandalous allegations about her love escapades with award-winning rapper Sarkodie.

Many Ghanaians have taken to social media to vent their displeasure with Sarkodie in the wake of Yvonne Nelson’s revelations about him. However, there are many who have come to Sarkodie’s defence, stressing that this is a personal issue that only he can fix.
