Edem In Court For Allegedly Knocking And Killing Woman With His Car

According to a report from Graphic Online, Edem was brought before the Kaneshie District Court on Monday, December 11, 2023 for allegedly hitting a woman on the George Walker Bush Highway on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at around 2 a.m.

Edem, who was driving a Honda Touring vehicle with registration number GX 3011-19 at the time of the incident, has been charged with two counts of careless and inconsiderate driving as well as negligently causing harm.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, unfortunately did not survive the accident. She was 40 years old and suffered serious injuries, leading to her being rushed to the Police Hospital for treatment.

Tragically, she was pronounced dead upon arrival by the attending medical doctor. The presiding judge, Nana Abena Asor Owusu Amenyo, granted Edem bail in the amount of GH¢50,000 with two sureties. His plea was not taken, and he is scheduled to appear in court again on February 15, 2024.

In related news, Edem recently disclosed that he has never experienced any form of depression, which is why he refrains from indulging in smoking or consuming alcohol.

Furthermore, he emphasized that he does not engage in regular marijuana use or alcohol consumption, which has played a significant role in his ability to evade depression throughout his entire life. When questioned about his potential sex addiction, Edem confidently stated that he could not be addicted to anything other than his unwavering faith in God.

“I have never been depressed. I’ve had low moments in life, but I’ve never been depressed. I think the reason is because I don’t smoke weed,” he said while speaking in an interview on Joy Prime. “I don’t do any of those things. I don’t smoke cigarettes.

“I don’t do intense alcohol. I’m a very rare occasional drinker. I feel that for you to go into depression you need to do those things to drive you into that space” he added.

Speaking on what he enjoys to do rather than smoking, Edem said “I prefer sex to smoking and any other thing because It’s healthier. That will also be relative because If I’m flying around the world and I’m busy, I don’t. But if I’m in a space for a week and not doing anything, once or twice [having sex] a day is fine.

“I’m married and I just said that If we have nothing to do once or twice a day is fine. If I’m in Ghana working, when the opportunity presents itself I do it for the sake of the family,” he concluded.
