How My Mother Died Because Of Politics- Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Agyapong has said politics is responsible for the death of his mother as she died as a result of the threats made against him by the brother of a fellow politician.

He claimed that since he entered politics, his mother had been subjected to taunts and threats that she was unable to handle. He also claimed that she had begged him on numerous occasions to leave politics, but he had refused.

According to him, “My mother died because of threats against me.”

“When Hon. Collins Dauda’s brother threatened to kill me, my mother couldn’t take it. She died on the 13th of November. During the week she died, I visited her, and she was pleading with me to stop politics, and she said: Kwame you’ll kill me. That was Thursday, on Friday, I left for Kumasi and while returning to Accra on Sunday afternoon, I got the bad news that my mother had died. And I was told she was saying my heart, my heart, and Kwame you will kill me,” he said in an interview on Citi TV.

The maverick MP stated that he is still grieving the loss of his mother.

While marketing himself well to NPP delegates and giving them enough reasons why he deserves to lead the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to the 2024 general elections, Kennedy Agyapong revealed recently how he has created enough jobs for the youth in his capacity as a businessman and how he could do more if he’s empowered as the NPP flagbearer.

Kennedy Agyapong, therefore, advised the electorates not to be deceived by his opponents who would woo them with big English. Speaking to some party delegates in Tema as part of his campaign to become the flagbearer aspirant of the NPP for the 2024 polls, he said:

“If you lack something, appreciate whoever has it, so that he would show you the way, it is no need being jealous. Those of you all over the place that you will create jobs, even your house girls are paid by government.

“Compared to me, who has over 7,000 workers in this country. Ask them, that they said they will create jobs and give us ease, how many people have you employed in Ghana?

“Don’t let them wear suit and come and lie to you. English we no go chop. Ibi our pockets dey speak, so when they come, take caution,” he added.

“Money can solve issues but not all issues because if it was all about money Akufo-Addo wouldn’t have become president because Mahama distributed brand new cars till chiefs also benefitted.
