I Just Want To Hug Him- Man Claiming To Be Agya Koo’s Biological Father Speaks
An elderly man has suddenly appeared from nowhere claiming seasoned actor and comedian Agya Koo is his son.
In an exclusive interview with Nana Sefa Hwenebobo on GHANA NEWS TV, Mr Kwasi Bediako, formerly of COCOBOD, revealed that he was the actor’s biological father and has made countless efforts to establish contact with him but this has proved futile.
Mr Bediako furthered that he had sex with Agya Koo’s mom in the early 1960s in the now-defunct Meridian Hotel in Tema leading to the conception of Agya Koo on May 25, 1969.
“I only heard that she had given birth and named him Kofi Adu, only for me to see him on television as Agya Koo. I just knew that he was my son because of certain characteristics and traits he exhibits,” he said
Although Mr Bediako’s allegations haven’t been verified, they have undoubtedly generated a lot of discussion and speculative posts on social media. The elderly man explained that he had avoided the encounter because he was shy when asked why he had waited so long to eventually reveal his identity.
“If I met him today, I’ll jump and hug him as my son but I’ve never reached out because I was shy and afraid. I did not want it to look like I was chasing him because of his pedigree in life,” he disclosed.
While the debate about the man’s revelation thrives on social media, social media is wondering why Agya Koo’s mother has not come out to confirm or deny the report.
However, it has emerged that the veteran actor had come out to deny a 50-year-old woman who claimed to be his biological mother on a radio station in the Ashanti region some time ago.
Speaking on the matter, he said “My mother died 7 years ago…I don’t know that lady” Others have also interrogated the matter and questioned if Agya Koo was aware of his biological father’s existence.
In the meantime, Mr Bediako has asked Ghanaians to share the video with the hopes that it reaches Agya Koo and that he can get to the bottom of this surprising revelation.
“They’ve taken me to radio stations in Koforidua to announce that I’m his father but he didn’t reach out. I hope this video gets to him so we can connect,” he pleaded.
