I Will Make Sure You Are Sacked- Shatta Wale Tells Kwasi Aboagye
Shatta Wale recently conveyed to renowned broadcaster and radio personality Kwasi Aboagye that he intends to ensure the latter’s dismissal from Peace FM.
This warning was prompted by Aboagye’s claim that he did not receive £80,000 for his performance at the Ghana Music Awards UK. During his radio show on October 11, Aboagye expressed skepticism about Shatta Wale’s purported performance fee, stating that no Ghanaian event organizer would pay such a large sum for a performance.
Shatta Wale responded by insulting the broadcaster and threatening him during a TikTok Live video. He even directed his anger towards Aboagye’s employers, Osei Kwame Despite and Fadda Dickson. Shatta Wale maintains that he was paid the exact amount he claimed.
“Kwasi Aboagye, if you are not sacked from Peace FM… You, Despite, and Fadda Dickson are all fools. I never took anybody’s money. Nobody knew when I was sleeping at Circle. Just because you have a company. Even those in the company can’t anyone tell you that you’re being foolish? You guys are in Ghana thinking you are billionaires.” he fumed.
Meanwhile, during her appearance on UTV’s United Showbiz, Vida Adutwumwaa provided insight into the underlying cause behind Shatta Wale’s decision to cancel his highly anticipated Freedom Wave concert.
As an entertainment pundit and the PRO of the 3Music Awards, she candidly expressed that the primary reason for the cancellation was simply a lack of preparation on Shatta Wale’s part. Vida firmly stated that if Shatta Wale and his management had adequately prepared for the event, it would have been unrealistic for them to cancel it.
In her professional opinion, their lack of readiness ultimately led to the unfortunate decision to call off the planned concert. Importantly, Vida emphasized that the cancellation was not a result of any external ultimatum but rather a consequence of Shatta Wale’s own unpreparedness.
She stated, “He is not prepared. As an artist of his caliber, he should be ready to perform regardless of the allocated time. Even Stonebwoy’s manager mentioned having discussions with Shatta Wale’s team to come to a workable agreement, but he declined. Therefore, Shatta Wale should not base his cancellation on the talks that his colleague had booked the venue.”
