KOD Knocks Down A Child While On His Way To Host An Event

Kofi Otchere Darko (KOD) is currently experiencing a great deal of unhappiness following a recent near-disaster in his life.

This incident has left him deeply affected and he let his fans in on what truly happened. KOD, who first started his career in on-air journalism with Radio Gold several years ago, recently shared on Facebook that he accidentally hit a child while rushing to host a program as a Master of Ceremonies (MC).

He described the situation as extremely distressing, as it prevented him from fulfilling his role at the event he was scheduled to moderate. Panicking about the ordeal, he took to Facebook and wrote, “Terrible evening! Hit a kid on my way to host an event and have been at the hospital since.”

However, several hours later, he shared an update on the situation. “God is good. Everything is okay and sorted out. Let’s all stay woke this season. Thanks to all who checked on me, I appreciate.”

KOD’s incident comes a few weeks after rapper Edem was brought before the Kaneshie District Court on Monday, December 11, 2023, for allegedly hitting a woman on the George Walker Bush Highway on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at around 2 a.m.

Edem, who was driving a Honda Touring vehicle with registration number GX 3011-19 at the time of the incident, has been charged with two counts of careless and inconsiderate driving as well as negligently causing harm.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, unfortunately did not survive the accident. She was 40 years old and suffered serious injuries, leading to her being rushed to the Police Hospital for treatment.

Tragically, she was pronounced dead upon arrival by the attending medical doctor. The presiding judge, Nana Abena Asor Owusu Amenyo, granted Edem bail in the amount of GH¢50,000 with two sureties. His plea was not taken, and he is scheduled to appear in court again on February 15, 2024.
