We Lost A Legend – Kodak Black Pays Emotional Tribute to XXXTentacion
Kodak Black has posted a touching message on social media as a tribute to his late friend XXXTENTACION.
Yak posted a poignant yet straightforward statement on Instagram on Friday, March 3, in honour of his fallen brothers.
Kodak reflected in his message on XXX’s obvious influence on hip hop and their home county of Broward in South Florida.
“Nothing really,” Kodak wrote in the post accompanied by a close-up photo of XXX with blue hair. “Just was thinking about you bro. DAM BROWARD COUNTY WE LOST A LEGEND. @xxxtentacion one of the best things to ever happen to this small town I call home. Next post is this young kid who kinda reminds me of Jah.”
The “Super Gremlin” rapper, Kodak Black, shared a photo of Bryant Barnes, a musician whose work occurs to remind him of XXXTentacion, in the following slide. Barnes responded by thanking Kodak on his own Instagram Story before praising the late artist XXX and calling him a “legend”
Since XXXTENTACION was shot and killed in 2018, Kodak Black has made it his goal to honor his late friend. Yak asserted he could communicate with the dead rapper in September of that same year.
“RIP XXX HE TALKS TO ME,” Kodak Black tweeted at the time.
