Arrest Warrant Reportedly Issued For Kodak Black Over Failed Drug Test
According to TMZ, Florida authorities are searching for rapper Kodak Black, and there are numerous tweets backing the report on Twitter right now.
A Broward County judge reportedly issued an arrest warrant on February 23 and filed it in court on Friday after the rapper allegedly violated the terms of his bail by failing to appear for a random drug test on February 3.
Authorities claim that he tested positive for fentanyl when he finally turned himself in on February 8. If Kodak is caught, he will have to stay in jail until his previous case about oxycodone has been heard.
In July 2022, Kodak was arrested after police stopped the Back to Everything musician. The police claimed to have discovered 31 oxycodone pills after searching his vehicle. In response to his arrest in Ft. Lauderdale, where he was charged with possession of a controlled substance without a prescription and trafficking in oxycodone, Kodak’s attorney, Bradford Cohen, stated that the oxycodone seized from the rapper was legally prescribed.
Cohen also told TMZ that Kodak was in “chronic pain” after he was shot in February 2022 in Los Angeles. Ultimately, Kodak was released after posting bond. His release is contingent on his passing regular drug tests.
